I applied to two programs in summer of 08 in hopes of getting into one soon but Grossmont College said the wait list was 3 years for the LVN-RN step up program, City didn't really say but said they accept about 12 LVN-RN students a year and I was number 35.
Well today I got a letter that says to take the Transition to Associate Degree in Nursing course beginning in March and to take the TEASE test! The letter said that the final decision about the number of students actually accepted into the nursing program would not be made until May 23rd

But I am so happy anyway! At least I can do something towards getting my RN besides just waiting.
Does anyone else go to City? What is the program like? I am so worried that I will not be able to get in and will have to wait another year.
