samuel merritt in oakland 2009 summer/absn

Anyone that has been accepted to SM in Oakland this summer ABSN program live in Contra Costa County? I am trying to see where people live to determine if and where I should move.I live in Brentwood and feel spending 3 hours a day on the road is too much for a fast program. Anyone familiar with traffic in Oakland? Would it be easy to get to from Alameda?

Any ideas, info, advice would be appreciated.

Alameda is very close to Oakland. Much better than 3 hours on the road! I'm moving to attend Oakland campus also. I live up in Sebastopol, about one hour from Oakland without traffic. I think I'll need that commute time to study!

alameda is fairly close and it's a nice place to live. jim's coffee house has really awesome waffles.

thanks.. I found a nice complex in the oakland hills but pricey- I will check out Alameda as well
