S. California Community College Nursing Programs

Hi Everyone:

Does anyone have any input/opinions about any of the following community colleges in Southern California:

College of the Canyons - Valencia
Antelope Valley Community College - Lancaster
Pasadena City College - Pasadena
Pierce Community College - Woodland Hilss
Valley Community College - Van Nuys
Glendale Community College - Glendale

I'm basically curious as to people's experiences and opinions as to how their nursing programs are and how well they prepared them for taking the NCLEX and for their career.

Thanks,
Marisa

Seasons Greetings to all,
I completed all my pre-req. at Pasadena City College for nursing then moved out of state. I grew up in cali and attended PCC not only for nursing but also photography, journalism and graphic design. The staff there are some of the best in the state of Cali. they teach to what you know, they challenge you to think and they provide all the help, hope and opportunity one could ask for. The campus has a great diverse population and lots of activities such as music, theather, movies and more.
Then there's old town Pasadena, Northon Simon museum,Getty museum, the mountains and beaches.....There is a lot to see and do, could led to over stimulation if your not well center in your-self. Or you can find a nice quiet park to sit under a tree and study. It's a great place to be from.
Best wishes,
Wonderfulday

Hello!

My best suggestion is to apply to all of them! I applied to all of those but antelope valley and i still ended up waiting about 3 yrs to get into a program.

You might also want to consider the L.A. County College of Nursing and Allied Health.
