Re-entering Nurse need help

Hi every one,

I am a re-entering nurse. I was out of file for 10 years and having 6 years of acute med-sug experience. I have gone to RN refresher class for 3 months (working three day in acute hospital setting and took 2 weeks in class and lab study). For the pass six month I have been looking for acute care med-sug position but have not received any interview. Someone told me; in San Francisco bay area doesn’t have nursing shortage. It has not been easy for me to get a nursing position in acute care setting. I can get a job in home care sitting. Any suggestions obtaining a RN position in acute care?

Thank you
L
