Well for any school, whether it is a CC or a University, they give priority to students with more units...meaning someone with 60 units at a school get to register for classes before someone with 10 units. i waited to take my nursing prereqs after I had finished all my GE courses so by the time it came to register for those hard to get in classes, I already had about 45 units under my belt and there was no wait...unless you count the time I started completing my GEs which you're going to have to do sooner or later. I would suggest waiting til the end to do your nursing prereqs anyways because many school have a 5 year expiration date. If you do them at the end, you have more time to get in to a program. If your nursing prereqs are already 3 years old by the time you apply, that means you have to get into a nursing program within 2 years or you'll have to take those classes over again. Hope this helps
