I don't think so. I've attended a UC, a CSU, and a community college and some of the most difficult lower division science classes I took were at the community college.

In some cases yes, in other cases no. The only way to know this would be to take the same course at both schools. Most people take courses at community colleges in order to save money. Others will pick and choose, depending upon word of mouth regarding certain instructors.

I took my pre-req's all at a CC so I don't know if they're "harder" or not....but they're definitely cheaper.....IMO if you're going into an ADN program, just do your pre-req's at a CC....it's a waste trying to get into a CSU or UC and then end up only getting your ADN....if you were going BSN, different story

Is it harder to get the classes you want at CC? I talked to a nurse the other day and she said at chaffey she waited 2 and a half years to get into anatomy.

Well for any school, whether it is a CC or a University, they give priority to students with more units...meaning someone with 60 units at a school get to register for classes before someone with 10 units. i waited to take my nursing prereqs after I had finished all my GE courses so by the time it came to register for those hard to get in classes, I already had about 45 units under my belt and there was no wait...unless you count the time I started completing my GEs which you're going to have to do sooner or later. I would suggest waiting til the end to do your nursing prereqs anyways because many school have a 5 year expiration date. If you do them at the end, you have more time to get in to a program. If your nursing prereqs are already 3 years old by the time you apply, that means you have to get into a nursing program within 2 years or you'll have to take those classes over again. Hope this helps . Feel free to ask any questions.

I think it depends upon the professor.
I took API at Sac State and APII and Micro at the community college after I graduated from Sac State.
My API professor at Sac State was soooooo much easier than my APII professor at the community college.
