Pregnant, starting a job in Cali

by hans3

I just moved to LA and found out I'm pregnant! I was going to do a few ER travel assignments but now I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any experience being a pregnant nurse in California that isn't already on staff somewhere? I know a friend who has worked somewhere for over a year and so she has everything all figured out but my situation is messier. I get medical through my husband's job but can I get Short Term Disability if I work for an agency? Should I try to work full time at a hospital? What do hospitals pay in Southern California to nurses with about 2.5 years of experience? I welcome any advice or information anyone may have please. I can't find a good resource to ask questions for this situation.

Thanks!
