Please Help!

I have a main option of taking the BSN program in West Coast University for 39 months or less (depending on my transferrable credits). The downside to this is that I will have to pay 116k for the whole program. That is what my mind is set on to. If I pass their assessment exam, then I can start in June.

On the other hand, I am looking into the LVN pathway. I am interested in the North Orange County ROP's LVN program. Can anyone tell me if there is a waiting list for this program? If there isn't how does the process work exactly?

What schools have the cheapest LVN-BSN programs in Orange County?

I am on the verge of making grand decisions that will impact my life. And I would greatly appreciate any type of help.

Thank you very much!

Jobs are getting scare for the LVN, very few hospitals are hiring now for this training as a start.

Be aware that trying to get a job when you would be done as an RN may be hard as well in your area. I would take the time to do some reading on this forum as there are already many new grads that are having trouble trying to find work, and they have already graduated.

Another thing to think about, how are you going to repay the student loans when you are done if there are not jobs in your area as well as the issue with even trying to obtain a student loan at this time. Many of the lending agencies that still exist are having severe cut-backs with loans as well.

These are things that you need to consider, not something that is meant to scare you away at all.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the insight. I have been thinking about that.

I think I will pursue my BSN in nursing instead of taking the LVN route.

I appreciate your help!
