Patient care technician and cna?


hi! i live in san diego area so cal..am gonna take cna classes this month as a road on becoming a nurse someday...i stumbled upon this Patient care technician thing and i need to learn more about it...r whats the difference bet. cna and pct?do i need to be a cna to get it..what is better training? done by the hospital or a certain college? schools in my area offering it?

Im not sure about where you live but in New York City you have to take the CNA course and pass in order to take the pct course.. I would ask the school

I got certified as a CNA in MA and then started working. After about 1/2 year my title changed from CNA to PCT. Not exactly sure why it changed. Maybe just the experience I gained on the floor....
