newely qualified 1st job CCU

:hatparty:
Hi Iam a newely qualified registered staff nurse from the United Kindgom, and due to start a job in coronary care. Any advice of what I should be doing now-to work towards working in California in the future?
I have visited a hospital in San Diego and gained info about the exam, and I am aware that British training is limited-I am adult trained! with little experience in Mental health, paeds, midwifery etc.
Will I need to do a degree?
PS what is my qualification Advanced Diploma in adult nursing worth in America?
