Need help with choosing a school.

I live in Orange County. I just recently changed majors, and I have decided to become a nurse. I know that the waiting time lists in the community colleges are horrendous. I am asking for anyone's help who can give me advice to which private school has the fastest and most affordable program.

Are there private schools who does need prerequisites before applying?

Do I have to be an LVN before entering the ADN program?

Is there a private school that has an entry level-BSN program? (I know CSUF does.)

How much does it typically cost?

Accreditation of those schools?

I have heard of West Coast University and Loma Linda University. If anyone can tell me about these schools, please do so. Thank you!

If i have any other questions. I will reply immediately. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP. =D

if you go to http://rn.ca.gov it gives you a list of schools. you do not have to be an LVN to get your ADN. CSUF...i dont think has an entry level BSN program; you need to be an RN to attend, its and ADN-to-BSN program. CSULB, CSULA and CSUSB I know have an entry level BSN progam. These schools costs approx $1800ish per semester, CSULA $1300ish per quarter. You can check on their webpages.

What school did you go to?? I recommend to do all your nursing prerequs first, then apply and work on your undergrad classes while you wait to get in. If you go to http://www.assist.org/web-assist/welcome.html it shows what classes transfer to whatever CSU/UC system from a community college. It really helped me when I applied to nursing school.

Hope that helps.
