LPN wannabe...can anyone give me some advice on how I can go about getting my license

Hi Everyone.

I am a stay at home single mom wanting to go back to school to become a nurse eventually. I think it is best I start out by being a LPN first because I need to have a job to support myself and my daughter. Can anyone give me any idea how I can get start? How long does it take to finish to program before I can get my LPN license and start working? What kind of jobs should I look for in the meanwhile that is related to nursing so that I can have nursing experience once I get my LPN license? What are some good LPN schools in the Sacramento Area? How much does it cost to get an LPN license? I plan to go to the community college in Sacramento. Is the LPN program difficult to get in? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
