Kaiser Slow to Hire?

by Haunted

Anyone have any experience getting hired at Kaiser? Advice on how to get your foot in their door? I interviewed in October, was offered a part time position starting right away but could not accept as I had a 2 week trip planned. Have not heard back since then despite sending all the follow up letters per protocol. Really like the whole Kaiser concept. Help!

Kaiser IS slow, probably because all open positions have to be offered internally first and all qualified people considered before opening the job to the outside. And with a fully union shop, that can take a while. Assuming you are only interested in benefitted positions that is - it's pretty quick when you are looking at a per diem position as the internal people usually are less likely to compete for those jobs.
