an international student who wanna join an Entry-master program

I feel so interested about the entry-master program. I know the students can work part-time after pass NCLEX and gain a RN license in the program.

But I have a question: As an international student, am I able to work part-time like other resident students in the second period of the program? Because this tough program lasts for 3 years, so I'm afraid I don't have enough money to handle it.

I just want to make sure it before the application process.

Thank you~

As I understand it on a F1 you are restricted and initially can only work 20 hours on campus the first year Also you have to show you can support yourself for the duration of the course

US department of state student visa

As far as I am aware without EAD you can't work and as a student on F1 you are restricted. Just check out the link I posted

Thank you.

Maybe it's better for me to ask the school directly.

If they have a international advisor then they should be able to tell you what you need to do. You do need permission to work and there are restrictions

I just called UCSF to ask this question about the problem. They answered yes. But I don't feel quite sure of that.

I'm a prospective international student as well, as far as I'm aware, after reading about F1 visa's on the US embassy website, it's pretty clear that as a student you do not have permission to work and study on that visa, unless you are undertaking the optional one year training (part of F1 visa for people in the medical profession which you can excercise once you graduate!).

If you need to see for yourself, your best bet is to either go onto the US embassy website or contact your nearest US embassy and ask them directly.
