Interim Permit In Cali


hi. i just want to know what's an interim permit? can i apply for it though i've taken the nclex exam and im just waiting for the result? thanks

The Interim Permit (IP) allows new graduate nurses to work as RN's while thye wait to take the NCLEX.

An Interim Permit is a temporary license that allows you to work under the supervision of a licensed RN while you wait to take your test and waiting for the results. From what I understand though, is that you can only apply for it when you apply for your BRN licensure, which is BEFORE you are even able to take the NCLEX exam. So, I don't believe you are able to apply for it anymore. If you want more info though, you can visit the BRN website: http://www.rn.ca.gov/

Also to add if out of the country at the moment now way to stay in the US with IP and expect to adjust your status as no visas due to retrogression.
