Info on VA hospitals? e.g. San Diego?

I am recently working at scripps chula vista and I dont like being so close to the boarder. All my patients speak spanish!! I was looking to work more northern.. THere is a position at the VA hospital on the spinal cord injury unit. Does anyone know how the VA hospitals are out here. Or even better the one here in San Deigo? Thanks!!

I did clinicals at the VA, older hospital, tight security, great charting, totally computerized, mostly male patients (obviously), teaching hospital, very friendly to students, residents, etc, you will see lots there. The spinal cord unit is HUGE and very nice actually one of the nicest wards in the hospital. The VA is on the hill in the UCSD/Golden Triangle area, Scripps La Jolla and UCSD nearby and Scripps Green not far away either. You'll find Spanish speakers everywhere though in So Cal, best to learn it around here.

When I was there the pay was not that good. It was a good hospital and the work was not bad but it didn't pay very well. It was a long drive for me so I left.
