mizzLVN,
I got a job already, I just applied and follow-up and they hired me without experience. You can apply in Country Villa nursing homes, they have a lot of nursing homes here in CA.

Try a dialysis clinic. DaVita, Fresenius, RCG are the big three in the US, and there are tons of small independent clinics in Cali that are affiliated with hospitals, etc.

How is it working at Country Villa? Any insight would be helpful.

I think its a very good companies because I don't have any experience and they usually orient new grad like 3 weeks. I have my second week orientation already, one more week I am going to be on the floor. They usually hire new grad, not like some nursing homes, they are not going to hire you without experience.

I tried applying at these companies. They used to hire and train new grads. However, they informed me that they aren't currently accepting nurses without experience.

SNFs would be a logical choice. Go online and look for SNFs listings. Call each facility and ask if they're hiring. Most of them will say they're always accepting applications, and mostly are paper apps. Go to the facility and bring a resume to submit along with the paper application. Always follow-up after 3-5 days. Be persistent until you get a hold of the DON or DSD, especially if you know they're hiring.

Kaiser hires LVN's, not sure about what experience you would need. I know they use them in injection clinics at Kasiers.

MizzLVN,

Have you checked here - I use Joined.com a lot...sort of like LinkedIn, but I find the job search much better for Healthcare.
