I need some help with some California bsn programs

by TCLA

I was wondering of anyone on here can give me a list of California schools that offer a bsn degree. I was also wonderinging if it was possible for me to attend a community college to take my pre-reqs and then transfer to a 4 year university to go to the bsn program. Or how does that whole process work!or is the bsn program apart of the nursing program? How does this work! I'm so confused ! Thanks for your help!

I am definitely not familiar with that many BSN programs, but I know that for the most part you can take the prerequisites at a community college and transfer into the BSN programs. Some schools, however do not take transfer students, so you should check out the nursing department websites of each school you're interested in.

I believe that link above is for the list of approved programs from the CA board of registered nursing--that's a great place to start.

I know that UCLA, CSULA, and CSULB accept transfers into their BSN programs. CSUFullerton used to, but stopped due to budget cuts. CSUN accepts people who are either already RNs or who have a BA/BS in a non-nursing field. As far as private schools that I'm familiar with, I believe that Mount Saint Mary's and Loma Linda also accept transfer students. I'm sure there are many more schools, but those are the only one's I'm familiar with.

Good luck!!
