I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering!
I did the Adult LPN...and I hated it!
I have been an RN since 2004...and I love it!

It is easier in terms of interview!
You will need to be interviewed before entering into an RN Program!
If the interviewer know that you are already an LPN, it will be easier for the interviewer to make a decision.
I was working a year then I went straight to an RN Program designed for the working LPN's. I needed the money at that time...So I was working!
I think you can/should do both if LPN is not your "final stop." A four year BSN Program is highly recommended!

Regarding to your question, are you asking me if working on the floor as an RN easier because of my LPN experience or are you asking me if the RN Program is easier for me because I was an LPN?
I think I will answer both!
It is easier to work on the floor as an RN because I had 4 years of giving medication experience.
But it is not easier for the RN Program, it depends on who is your professor/instructor. Because you are an LPN, so you should have higher standard! Your class will be divided into 2 parts--class & clinical! I think the clinical was hard because the instructor was looking over my shoulders! She could fail me for the "small" things. Failing twice will be "terminated" from school...So it was not easy at all!
