Has anyone gotten accepted into any nursing programs with B's in all 3 pre-req's

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone has gotten into the program with all B's in Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology? I know all programs are impacted, I know about the points system and g.p. scoring. I know that most schools also have a small percentage based on a lottery-but is it still at all possible to get in with B's?? Even if I have to wait a while....? I will be applying to Cypress college and Saddleback college at the end of Spring 09.

Thanks for your imput!!

I think it is very possible to get into a nursing program with all B's. You should check with the school and see what system they use. If it's a lottery system, getting all A's or B's wouldn't make a difference. Once you're qualified (pass the cut-off GPA), you'll be given a number and the rest is just waiting for your turn to start school. I think most nursing programs have the cut-off of like 2.7 or something.

I got in with all B's in my science classes. I had A's in all of my other classes. It is definitely a possibility. Good luck!

I had A's in the core prereqs and a couple b's in the rest.
But its possible with a high TEAS score..or a lottery system as well

Definately possible if the school uses a lottery system. Quite honestly - at the community college I attended, there were students who pulled C's in their core classes & got into the program ahead of straight A students.

Like Sully, I had all b's in science and a's in the others. I applied to a large program and a small one. Got into the large one after being on the wait list for a month. You can do it!

Saddleback accepts 60 students a semester, and 25% of those are lottery. They also have an additional 15 people take the TEAS and those people are considered "Alternates." This semester, every one of the Alternates got in. They even pulled some people in who were originally not in as either a "for sure" or an "alternate."
