It is easy to find apartments near UCLA Medical Center. The problem is cost, traffic and parking. Make sure you choose an apartment that actually comes with a parking space if you have a car. Street parking is a nightmare. I always found Westwood to be a safe place. The further you are from the actual campus, the cheaper the apartment. A few blocks makes a difference in rent. I would try south of Wilshire Blvd. There are also a million busses that end up at UCLA. Good luck!
