Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 09

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but I didn't want to wade through the 13 pages of this thread.....regarding GPA, is it your nursing school GPA? For example, my nursing school GPA is 4.0, however I graduated with a BA 18 years ago. Am I supposed to incorporate those grades too? I have almost 200 non-nursing credits as I actually have 2 bachelor degrees. But they are from so long ago...Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Good question. I don't think it has been specified yet, which gpa is looked at. I'm wondering, too.

i think just nursing school GPA is the only one they are concerned with.

Wow, many of you made it!! I am glad, hopefully your luck will spread around and some of us still waiting will get calls as well.

The information that some of you got from HR regarding the number of positions they will actually offer and the different starting dates seems somewhat conflicting. However, I hope it is true that they really have 100+ openings to offer us. Anyways, to those of you that actually called HR, thanks a lot for sharing the info.

Clearly, the wait has extended for some of us...let's just have faith....I will keep my fingers crossed at least until I get a letter, LOL!!!

really? if thats the case then my GPA is a lot higher.. i will call tomorrow and clarify.

I don't know for sure, but I think they look at your whole GPA because they go off of the college transcript you provided. So maybe if you just provided them with your nursing transcripts, they'll just go off of that.

hey all,
i just called HR to update them because I found out over the weekend that I passed my NCLEX..they told me that today would be the last day for calls/offers (by 5pm). they stated that letters would be coming if no calls still hoping for the best....

Well first off, congratulations on passing the boards!!!

Second, I'm not sure how I feel about today being the last day! Hopefully those of us still waiting will get a call in the last remaining hours, but if we don't, I guess it's good that we don't have to sit around waiting for another two weeks just to find out we didn't get it. Ahhh, so nervous.

Thanks for the update candleguy! I have mixed feelings about today being the last day for "the call". Does this mean they would be calling close to 100 people today? Goodluck to everyone!
