canadain RN wanting to go to California, please help!

Hi, I am a Canadian nurse wanting to go over to California on a travel assignment, and I need help with a good location. I've never been to California before, and i'm planning on doing a 13 week assignment. My preferences are a smaller community and close to the ocean. I would like to stay away from the bigger cities, as I have never done this before and I prefer smaller institutions. I would appreciate all information. Thanks everyone in advance!
