Hi y'all, I am trying to start the endorsement process from a non compact state (Louisiana) to Cali (another non compact state). I'd like to know for certain, as I don't seem to be understanding the endorsement licensure law on non-C to non-C states. I currently hold a Louisiana LPN license and would like to endorse for a Cali license as I'd like to move back out west to be with family. I can't get an official clear answer to this question. There is no such thing as "call your State Board" no human beings man those phones! Once I complete the proper papers required for the Cal State Board of nursing or rather the Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians and they grant me a license, does this null and void my Louisiana license? All I see from my books and such that compact states allow a nurse to go to another compact state and work as a nurse there or any compact state under the multistate act, but what if both states are NON compact states. Will I completely loose my Lou license once I'm endorsed to Cali? I'd like to work here in Lou while waiting the 8-12 wks for endorsement but afraid my current license will be disolved and I won't know when it happens, or if it does at all? Helpzzz!
