just would like to know if California board is the hardest? base on a some tete a tete with lots of nurses who took the nclex and review centers in the Philippines, the said that California Board is the hardest - they even say before you take it - their warmest condolences!!!! is it for a fact? kindly reply or post... thanks.

NCLEX is the same in every state, you are allowed to take the test in another state than you have applied for licensure (I did, for conveniece). Therefore, if it were easier in another state, people would just go there to take it.

It is a total myth that the NCLEX examination is 'harder' in some states and 'easier' in other states. The NCLEX is the same exam, whether it's taken in California, Iowa, Puerto Rico, or Hong Kong.

Same test no matter which state you take it in. Many different versions are out there because if they all had the same questions it would be too easy to tell others what's on it but they are all the same versions in every state.
