bay area hospitals?

I looked into working at UCSF's NICU. I was told it is required you work a day/night rotating schedule. That was the reason I wouldn't go there. A nurse I know who works there thinks it's good that they do that because it covers their butts. They did say you can switch shifts with people, but I'm not sure how easy that is.
If you are a new nurse, you can expect to work nights at most bay area hospitals. Children's Hospital Oakland is a good teaching hospital, but you will be on nights more than likely, and working holidays for a long time because nurses never leave.
