Applying out of state experiences

Hello,

I'm almost done with CA and have decided not to waste my time here. Its bordering insanity when applying for new grad positions in this state.

When applying out of state, is it better to have a license for that state first before applying for a specific hospital or do you do apply first, get the job, then get a license through endorsement.

For those that have looked out of state, how do you guys do it? And what are your experiences?

Thanks
