Is anyone taking the TEAS for Maric?

by huffy79

I got the call the last week that they have decided to redo their program and are now requiring the TEAS. They only have a 7 person limit for the test times so I'm waiting to see when I take it. Anyone else getting ready to take it for the January entrance?

Hi. I have heard that all colleges now are required to administer the TEAS exam as an entrance requirement. Even my LVN program is now administering it. Did Maric say how much it will cost the student? I took their previous exam when I was thinking about going to Maric but there was no cost foro that. Just wondering what the price of the TEAS exam was.

I just took the TEAS for a community college in socal, and there was no cost to the student. You can also take the TEAS at different locations, it's done on line, I know Palomar offers the TEAS exam at different dates. If Maric is charging you go else where to take it, you get a print out or you can use your registration number and show them that you have it. My school you don't take it until you are accepted, I took it last Saturday 11/17. I highly recomend getting their study guide and their online assesments!!! It was not an easy test.

Sorry I am just now getting back to you all. I take it on the 30th so I've got a little over a week to study. They are charging, but just $20, which isn't a big deal to me. When I took my entrance test at a program in Ky, I had to pay $75. I think it was to pay the proctor. (sp? ) I'm not worried about the $20 as much as I am worried about the chemistry portion of the test. I am thoroughly kicking myself for not taking it before! But I did talk to someone who just took it on Friday and I went today and got some Chemistry books from the library so hopefully I can do well. I'm not sure if I'll have time to have the study guide shipped to me now. I did see that several people were giving them away on freecycle and craigslist so I'm gonna try there again.
Faeriewand: They are redoing their program now and its now a 20 month program and you start the nursing track right away, which means clinicals start right away as well. They also said the amount went down, not sure on how much yet.
