It is in Palm Desert, CA which is very close to Palm Springs. About 1 1/2 hours from Los Angeles.

As far as housing, you can check out apts in the area on www.rent.com, or www.rent.net.

You may also be able to find a room to rent from a home owner in the area, that likes to have a nurse in the home.

Dont live or work there. BUt that area is really nice. I go there for vacations. It's in the desert so it gets really hot during summer time. (am talking about dry desert heat) Palm Desert/Palm Spring and Rancho Mirage area is a really nice place.

Just came back from vacation visit with Carolina relatives relocated in Indio, part of Palm Springs desert area. 29 Palms Marine base medical not far-Bush just dropped in 4 a visit, Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Springs, downtown historical area funky & fun -"Tyler's" cafe with outdoor seating local fav & sandwiches superb, El Paseo beautiful garden area shopping designed to please, restaurants excellent "Cafe des Beaux Arts" Chicken Waldorf Salad yummy, Duck Confit Frenchly good but pricey. "Babe's" BBQ at the River DELISH & fun. "Firehouse" bar & grill crowded fun hangout. Madonna to appear at popular annual music festival.
StudioReveal has private women only dance classes with 60 min yoga & pilates floor work the 30 min POLE DANCING! Fun Fun Fun!
Always sunny, no humidity & very few bugs (no mosquitos), 3 months of year summer 100-110 degrees, 20 degrees cooler in shade, locals go out early AM & after dark.
Here in Sarasota-Bradenton FL summer means wet blanket, soggy humidity, temps in high 90's, & BUG CITY!!!
