Re: Accelerated RN degree in San Diego
There is the LVN program then you can also go the ADN route which is the degree (assosciates) in nursing. Then theres the bridge LVN-RN, or ADN-RN, RN-BSN so on ans so forth. When you have a degree in nursing you can go to other states but you still have to relicense in that state ( i believe, correct me if im wrong) we have the board of vocational nursing website as well as the registered nursing board, those are helpful and really, the internet is your key to gain mass knowledge about programs. I was stuck for a long time but now its going on 5 yrs in healthcare and finally have my LVN... I want to also have my degree and will do the degree to RN route and then BSN. Transferring credits really involves mostly your science pre-reqs. So doing those @ community colleges woudl then transfer... but once you have your license, you dont need to transfer anything... so Id reccommend all science pre reqs where they are transferrable even if you do a private nursing school they are always going to say that they have science pre reqs there for a huge cost, but dont suck yourself into it because they wont be transferrable, but now i think it is part of all private programs.. so you end up eating the cost but still take the pre reqs.. hope that doesnt sound too confusing!!
