I got an email tonight (Tuesday at 5:30pm) about setting up an interview between January 7th and 15th. It looks like 18 other people were included in this email. Did anyone else get it?

I didn't hear back either! I wonder what the deal is. Its definitely driving me crazy but I'm trying to stay calm about it. Sending good vibes so that we all get interviews!

My interview is scheduled for Jan 13th at 9:30 am. I'm guessing they were really swamped right before the holidays with trying to schedule everyone in.

Im nervous! Has anyone else heard any other questions they might ask during the interview? I'm not quite sure how to prepare. I hope you all have a great holiday break though! Merry Christmas!

Hi Miss Madeline:
My interview is on Jan 8th at 9:30am. I asked for early afternoon but they scheduled me at 9:30. Maybe they have preferred times they are interviewing people. From what I am reading, approximately 47 people have been asked to interview so far. I wonder if they are interviewing more than that? They only offer admission to 45 people. And I read there were 18 people waitlisted last term. I am very nervous and also don't know how to prepare. Good luck to you and Merry Christmas.

I do not know for sure, but according to others on this blog, they will be notifying us by the end of January through mid-February.

Hello Everyone,

I'd been meaning to write in last week but got swamped with pre-holiday work. I actually received an invitation as well, last for the same interview period. I am really excited since my application last year went nowhere. I didn't end up hearing from MSMC until April to say that I had not been chosen. This year though I went back in full force, having completed all my prereqs with a 4.0

Finally, some recognition from that school. All I can say is that they were less than helpful with all the people trying to get answers about interview dates, and status of the process. One can argue that they simply don't have the resources to keep all of us updates but I will say that it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Somehow, instead of seeming efficient they simply came across as cold.

I too sat at the computer for endless hours waiting for my status to change on the Webadvisor screen. Perhaps I believed that I could wish myself into acceptance

. Reality was brutal though

Hi Jaxfar:
I also applied for Fall admission at MSMC and didn't hear back from them until April that I was not accepted. But in MSMC's defense, the deadline wasn't until March 15 so hearing back from them in April is actually not that bad.

I also applied to Samuel Merritt in the Bay area. Their turn around time to even acknowledge an application was received is at least 2 months after the deadline. And there isn't even an online system set up to verify anything. With a Nov 1st deadline this time around, SMU finally got back to us last week to say applications were received and we wouldn't hear from them again until mid-March. So I found MSMC to have a very fast turn around time.
