Yep, I've heard of it. I checked it out on the CA board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians. Apparently, it's been approved to begin an LVN program but it's not yet accredited. Here's the link- http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov/education/schools/vn_schools.shtml Hope this helps.

I actually went there today. They've been approved to operate but they're under review in Sept. After that, if all goes well, they'll be fully accredited. Very friendly. The CNA program wasn't super expensive. The LVN prog wasn't cheap, but it wasn't the most expensive I've seen. I'd love to the the community college route but a 2+yr wait list is a little daunting. =) I'm not sure what area you're in but, if The Valley isn't too far for you, they have a CNA program at WVOC that's about 10 weeks long and very reasonably priced. Last I checked, they weren't accepting any LVN applications because the wait list had gotten so long.

Actually, I'm not sure if WVOC is accredited. That is definitely important though. http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov/education/un...programs.shtml Good luck in your search.

What about the Simi Valley Adult School ROP program? When I lived in TO, most of my fellow LVN's went there for school.

Peaches, can I ask how much the CNA program costs? They would not tell me the price without a tour. Would it be pointless to go to the school anyways if it is not accredited??

hey remy,
im actually doing the CNA program right now.
they've had a bunch of CNA classes go thru the program and get their license so i'm pretty sure its fine. i think the LVN program needs accrediation. the CNA program is state approved.
the price is about 2,800. $50 off if you already have your CPR card.

Yep, that's what they told me too. Also keep Simi in mind. I think their CNA prog. is about $1000.
