I'm in the Cypress Nursing Program. As far as the wait goes, if you have EVERYTHING done before you apply and have the maximum number of points (25 total - all A's in your sciences & all undergrad requirements completed), you're not going to wait. However, if your grades are anything less or you apply before you are completely done, you're going to be on the waiting list. I heard that we had over 700 applicants for Spring 09 and there were only 40 spots available.

The TEAS is somewhat of a joke, if you've completed high school, you will probably pass. If you're nervous about it, like most people, www.atitesting.com does offer a study book!

This is my first semester, and we just completed week 3 - and I am already loving it. We've had 2 days of clincals, and despite feeling in the way and semi-useless, I am eager to do more!

Good luck!

Thank you for the response. I really appreciate it. I got a "B" in Micro, so I will be waiting for sure!

From my understanding Saddleback does not have a waitlist. You should also consider Goldenwest for applying.

I was told at Cypress that you can only get ONE B with the other two A's to be a competitive candidate.

I just got accepted into Saddleback's program with A's in all sciences, B in English 1, and a 3.74 GPA. I havent taken the TEAS yet but I've heard that its not too difficult.

Congrats to you!!!

Did you take your sciences one at a time? I'm trying to figure out how quickly I can do my pre-req's and still get A's.

yeah I did them one at a time. I figured you only have one chance to get that A. I took other easier classes that I could afford to get a B on if necessary along with them. Oh and I did Micro in the summer.. intense but worth it to save time.

I have 2 C's and 1 A in my science pre-reqs. Saddleback takes the cumulative GPA from your last 12 units...so that is how I was accepted. (With their calculation, I have a 3.6'ish GPA)

I took the TEAS test for another ADN program (College of the Canyons) back in March. I ordered the study guide off of the TEAS website and took a practice test. I scored an 81%. I'm not going to lie. I barely studied.

Just make sure to review your earth sciences (rocks...plates...etc...) There were 3-4 questions on my test about that stuff and I was like "What!?!?!?!?"
