I took the TEAS test for another ADN program (College of the Canyons) back in March. I ordered the study guide off of the TEAS website and took a practice test. I scored an 81%. I'm not going to lie. I barely studied.

Just make sure to review your earth sciences (rocks...plates...etc...) There were 3-4 questions on my test about that stuff and I was like "What!?!?!?!?"
Hello AAnderson,

Forgive me, but I'm kind of confused. You got right into Saddleback's program with 2 C's and 1 A in the science prereqs? If so I'm super happy! Based on their point system, you would've had 9 points out of 18 (based on those 3 grades and your gpa). I called and talked to the nursing department the other day and they said you need to have 16-18 points to walk right in (I have 15). Can you please confirm?
Thanks!!

Hmmm...good to know. How, exactly does Saddleback's point system work? I'm moving back to that area so any input on the program is nice. I'm going to the information session on the 14th, but it's always nice to get a first hand account. So far, it sounds great.

Wilde:

I didn't "walk" right in...far from it. I first applied to Saddleback's program in 2005. Long story short, 25% of their applicants are accepted based on their lottery. 75% come in based off their points system. I got in off the lottery, obviously. I have several friends in the program who had straight A's in their science pre-reqs & they were only admitted as alternate candidates.

Good luck to you!

Just got my third rejection in a row from Saddleback. Sigh. Crossing my fingers that when Cerritos told me I was in for the Spring '10 semester they weren't joking.

Hi Apgar10,

I'm an alternate for Cerritos. I was wondering if you've heard anything from them since our orientation??

Not lately. I stopped in sometime in June or so and was told that there would be another notice sent out and an orientation in November. It would be nice to have some feedback!!
