Anyone attending or taken the Accelerated BSN at Concordia in Irvine?

Hello.....thanks for your informative post. I was just asked to come in for an interview for the BSN CUI program for Jan 2010 term. I was hoping you could give me any advice/information on the interview process? What types of questions should I be prepared to answer? Also, they haven't "Officially" responded to my prerequisites. Did you find them pretty lenient on accepting your classes? will they let you know during the interview process what they will accept? After the interview how long did it take you to find out if you are accepted? Sorry for all the questions. I'm trying to be as prepared as I can. One more ?? I was told the 7:30-5:30 classes are only the first 4 weeks, is this true and what should I expect schedule wise after that?

Hi eclaire. Thanks for your post about Concordia. Are you still in the program? Still enjoying it? I've applied for the January 2010 cohort and just found out that I have an interview next week. Can you offer any advice about the interview process? How many of those interviewed will make it into the program? Thanks so much for your time!

Can I ask how the two of you were notified? Are you in the Monday or Thursday interview session? I'm still waiting on hearing back. Do you know how many actually applied for Jan 2010?

Hi alizard. I received an e-mail from Concordia last week. I'm in the Thursday interview session. I don't know how many applied for the January session...I'm sorry!

Does anyone know how they calculate the gpa requirements? Whether it is only your bachelor's degree, only your pre-reqs, last 60 hours?

Also, do they interview everyone they are considering, or is there any chance that without an interview you will still get in?

Yes, I was also wondering if anyone had any tips on the group interviews for nursing at CUI. I've looked up general nursing interviews online, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

I am going to start the program in the fall!
About the interview process, everyone at CUI is really nice and friendly. There were 2 (or 3) days of interviews. On my day there were about 20 of us. I know they said they were going to interview 55-60 people and pick 30 to be in the program.
You were interviewed in groups of 5, basically just normal interview/nursing questions. Why you want to be a nurse...why you would be a good nurse.
To find out I got an interview I got a call and then an email.
I think a month later I found out I got in the program by the packet the came in the mail!
