nurses performing surgical debridement?

Hi everyone, I have a general question regarding surgical debridement of wounds. I'm a student nurse and I'm researching material right now for a presentation on chronic wounds.

I understand that nurses in some states can perform surgical debridement. Is this the case in Missouri? I have no idea where to find this information. If anyone might know the answer to this or where I might find information I'd be truly appreciative.

Thanks!

You can e-mail the MO Board of Nursing and ask for an opinion, or ask in which section of the Nurse Practice Act you will find this information.

I've directed questions to them in the past, and have been pleasantly surprised at how quickly and thoroughly they have answered them.

Good luck!
