I was a patient in the burn unit at Tamapa General, and I want to tell you, every nurse I had there was just the absolute greatest. I know it takes a very special kind of person to want to work in the burn unit. And I am so glad and thankful to all of you who go into this field.

Nurse Re: New Burn Nurse Here - HELP!
Hi guys.... I'm new to allnurses.com........ it's pretty interesting to meet many nurses online........ Hehee... i am burn nurse too....... I am working in Singapore in the Burn Centre..... I passed out in burns.. initially it was pretty scary and tough as a new nurse to adapt to burn nursing......... but now after 1year 9 months in this ward, i'm beginning to love every moment of it........ I love the bond it creates wif our patients..... Amazing....... heheeee..... Hope to make friends frm other burn centres around the world.......

Yours,

Good evening there hope that all's well out there? I am new to all this ,just found this site whilst looking for infomation on nursing burns.I am not very computer 'savy' either so if i make mistakes my appilogies!I have been working in my current post for a year now. I have not regretted my decision so far in regards to the type of nursing that burns needs but like EVERYWHERE else it is sometimes so 'full on' with the work load and specialist care that burns need that i have to take a step back ! Any ways i am now on a burns / plastics cse where i need info on 'Itching', and 'Allografting; there fore if anyone has any info that may be of relevence or help feel free to send, (references req) I am working in a burns rehab unit in England.
