need some advice from a burn nurse


this really has nothing to do with nursing but figured you guys would know best. i work in nirthern nh where it is freezing out. my hands are so dry and red and cracked. i have used many different lotions, but nothing that seems to help for long. any suggestions?

Orly's Cuticle Cream. Smear it on your hands at night, not just the cuticles and you will see quite a difference in your skin in the morning. You can also keep some in your car, and apply it for the ride home, and your hands should look much better by the time you get home.

After working NICU, as well as OR, I have found that this works better than anything else that I have tried.

The other trick is cotton gloves - apply the cream at night and cover with cotton gloves.
