Meth lab burns

by dad2one

There was an article on the front page of our local paper this morning about burn units seeing a lot of patients coming in from meth lab explosions, fires. I just glanced at the headline, haven't had a chance to really read it yet. Do you guys see a lot of this? I don't have much contact with the Burn Unit here....

I used to work on a burn unit in the inner city. Sadly we once got 3 children one critical who were burned while they slept as thier parents produced meth in the basement.

These idiots blow themselves up more often then you think.

Oy. If you are going to do drugs then don't have children. If you are going to make drugs you should probably be sterilized. Incidents like this are why I can't work pedi- if mom and dad made it out- I would seriously have to throw down with them in the parking lot.
