Learn all about pain medications and pain management. Learn the healing processes of burns, learn all your labs (electrolytes, etc). Go to that unit and shadow a nurse as often as you can. Learn to do dressings, learn about the psychological aspect of burn patient care.... that's a start. Be well and good luck!
