Considering Burn Nursing...

Hi, I am a recent LVN grad but for the last 15 years I have been working in Hyperbaric Medicine with special emphasis in Wound Care. Now that I am licensed and looking to expand my horizons, I am interested in burn care primarily because I believe it would be a relatively easy transition considering my years of experience in wound care. Am I fooling myself? I know that I have alot to learn but will my experience in HBOT and wound care help me transition to burn care? Thanks...

Personally I am not sure that anything can fully prepare you for working in burns. I did ICU before moving to burns and although I know critical care, burns critical care was a completely different animal.
