by kay0324 Nov 1, '12I was wondering if any one could tell me what its like to work on a burn unit. For some reason I feel like my heart is here. I have never even done a rotation on a burn unit or even had a patient with burns yet. I know I am very ignorant in this subject but would really like to hear from a nurse who works or has worked on a burn unit. I really can't wait to learn more and expand my horizon. I'm just very intrigued by this type of nursing. Thanks

- Nov 3, '12 by dirtyhippiegirlYou need to shadow on a burn unit. Ask around -- most burn units are eager for nurses who truly feel a calling to burn.
