just realized this is going to cost me 350 dollars. The other school that I got accepted at wants their deposit by Monday. I was hoping to hear from Arizona before that so if I got accepted wouldn't need to send in a deposit!!!

Ouch. But for a free BSN, it's the price you pay. That's how I justified the cost of my suit.

Sigh. The suit you can continue wearing. The deposit money for another school...once it's gone, it's gone. Big difference. I am now in the same boat. My backup school accepted me two weeks ago, and needs to know ASAP. I have to send in $500 by Monday as well to guarantee my seat. I asked for an extension, but their admissions staff knows the game. Balk and delay until hearing from the first choice institution while keeping everyone else in a holding pattern.
I'm gonna call UofA Thursday and "encourage" them to get results out earlier...

yep thats what I keep telling myself. I have now paid 2 schools..driven/flown to 2.. and will add one more to the list.. along with all the fees to apply... part of the game I guess... still wish that I could get some back.. I do see the schools point of view. They need to finalize.. but I wish they all responded at the same time.. would have been so much easier..

thank you !!! I have a sneeky feeling that they will probably tell us by the end of the week. I am sure that they are sick of everyone calling...

I didn't mean any offense, GF. It was offered as a consolation- a very weak one, apparently. Many of us had to book last minute plane tickets from thousands of miles away and buy suits. If you get into the program, you can say your BSN cost 3 years and $500, or another $350, or the cost of a suit and a plane ticket.
If I would have known that there were only 48 seats this year, I would have had a better backup school plan.
Dmskoka, you've been accepted to great schools! You'll have your BSN next year from one of them.
And you're right, it's all part of the game, but you're playing it smart and doing the right things.
My suit was so cute, too, I wish I could wear it again; but I'm right in the middle of shedding the leftover *chub* from the last baby, so it will not be of any use to me in the future.

(But hey- that's a perk of nursing- no suits required!)

Just joined this site and so glad Im not the only one going through this, not to wish the suffering and agony on anyone else, just really wondering if Im the only one freaking out about what to do. Flew out from Oregon to realize about the cut. Luckily I did apply to NMSU as a last minute move so UA wasnt the ONLY school I put my app into. Ever since getting home from the interview Ive been spending all my time online and on the phone to figure out a backup plan. In the meantime, Ive spent $150 and alot of time to apply to Colorado and even if I do get in, I dont know if I can afford it. Missed alot of scholorship deadlines and so forth. Makes it such a pain with all the diff. deadlines and start dates. Not to mention different requirements for each school. Then....I get a big envelope in the mail today with YOUR IN on front from UA. I think I was accepted into the college in general, not necessarily the program. I only know because this is not the first time this has happened.
