Nursing student in Central Arkansas

I'm not sure if I should post this here or in the other Arkansas thread

Anyways, I went straight from high school into college and I'm currently finishing my first year of a three year program at a local school in Central Arkansas. I was wondering if anyone is from the area and if so, do you have any tips/pointers/heads up?

How do you manage to keep the balance between home and work, how do you meet new people and establish relationships?

I'm getting the hang of not having as much of a social life anymore lol. I was just curious how everyone else copes around here?
