Private Duty Nursing in this State?

by Jo Dirt

Being in Tennessee with TennCare (a form of Medicaid) private duty nursing is a big business here. We are contemplating a move to Arkansas and I just wondered if they have PDN divisions. I called some home health agencies and none of them acted like they knew what I was talking about.

Just wonder if anyone knows anything about PDN in that state?

The only Private Duty nursing positions I'm aware of here is thru Agency's that do Hospice care. They provide private duty during the last days. The problem with these agencies is that you are on call all the time and never know when you will have an assignment or not. The money is good, but not consistent. Try calling Hospice Home Care or Odyssey Health Care or Arkansas Hospice.

Many of the Home Health Agencies do have PDN cases. I am a DPCS with CareNetwork in Fort Smith and we have one case currently. I know that Care Network of Rogers, AR also has a few PDN cases.
