The Best Hospitals For Students in AR to work?

HELLO ALL,

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHICH HOSPITALS OFFER A VARIETY OF JOBS THAT AFFORD STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO GROW AS THEY LEARN. I AM CURRENTLY IN IRAQ AND WILL BE RETURNING TO THE U.S. IN MAY, CANT WAIT , AND NEED TO FIND WELL, A JOB!!! BUT I WOULD LIKE FOR IT TO BE AN OPPORTUNITY EXPAND AS I ADVANCE IN SCHOOL. I APPRECIATE ANY RESPONSES.

UAMS and the VA have programs for nursing students to work in. I did a summer externship between my two years and got paid almost 11.00 an hour, not to mention great experience.

I'm a little late...but i'll still respond!

I am currently a senior at UAMS and I also work there as a CCA (Clinical Care Assistant). It's a nursing student position but we basically do the same work that a tech does. If you get with the right nurses, most will allow you to do any skills that come up while you are working and if any interesting procedures are happening you're allowed to go watch. Pay is $11/hr. Arkansas Children's Hospital has a similar position but they are called PCPs (Patient Care Partners), I'm not sure about the pay with them though!
