- Feb 14 by donovasuQuote from SutherlynnI'm not sure. Are you already in school? If so, I wouldn't worry, it's really more an issue for those looking to get into school, although, I do hear that some of the CEP students ahead of me have heard from their sites that they will only take BSN students.Do you know if these clinical sites consider students in the Maricopa-ASU RN-BSN Pathway Program as "BSN seeking students" or only CEP students?
- Feb 14 by donovasuQuote from fitzfam2009HESI scores were above 85% and most gpa's were above 3.2. You have to have good grades in the courses that have asterisks as those are the ones they really look at. For Spring 2013, the class I am in, there were not enough students to fill all the CEP slots, but that will be changing as people realize they need to do this program in order to get into school faster and to get a job after graduation.Nixiequinn,
What was your GPA and HESI that got you into the CEP program? I am applying in May and I am curious as to what the average scores are!
TIA!
Good luck!

"Assume benevolence...people do things that annoy us, not to annoy us." - Feb 14 by fitzfam2009Quote from donovasuI have a 3.89 GPA and my HESI is only an 83%. I got a 92% on the math but only an 80% on the reading. I went into the test having a lot on my mind and I'm sure that hurt my score. I am debating if I should retake it to improve my score or if my high GPA will help off set that. I also have a previous degree and I know you get a point or two for that.HESI scores were above 85% and most gpa's were above 3.2. From reading this thread I can tell its going to be a long wait
. IF I'm very lucky, I may get placed for Spring of 2014 (2.7 year wait), however it is more likely that i get placed for Fall of 2014 (3.2 year wait).
- Feb 15 by Brl09Quote from fitzfam2009I am pretty sure they changed the requirements and you need a 85% or higher on the English composite so you should retake the Hesi for that. With your GPA I don't think you will have any problem getting in.I have a 3.89 GPA and my HESI is only an 83%. I got a 92% on the math but only an 80% on the reading. - Feb 15 by fitzfam2009Quote from Brl09Yes they did change the Reading to an 85%, however since I applied to the Maricopa nursing pool before they changed it I am set. I was told by the advisor that since I'm already in the pool the new scores are only for those new to applying. So....I would be retaking the HESI to just get a better score for the CEP program.I am pretty sure they changed the requirements and you need a 85% or higher on the English composite so you should retake the Hesi for that.
