This is a discussion on ITT Tech Arizona in Arizona State Nursing Programs, part of Arizona Nursing ... I am a pre nursing student in Arizona. I have been trying to find a school for nursing that does...
by FutureNurseLCW Dec 5, '12I am a pre nursing student in Arizona. I have been trying to find a school for nursing that does not have too long of a wait list. I know the for profit schools are expensive, but they are the only nursing schools without a few year waiting list. I also have a toddler so the schedules seem much more flexible. ITT Tech called me today about their program. Can anyone please let me know if it is a reputable program? Will employers look down on my degree because it is from ITT Tech? I could start soon if I choose this school. Thank you

- Dec 5, '12 by x_factorITT Tech has extremely mixed (mostly not so good) reviews, I would do a search on this forum and read through the multiple threads on ITT Tech's RN program. One thing that's been said time and time and time again, the credits are useless. They will not transfer, nor be accepted, at any reputable college if you ever decided to pursue your BSN degree. Not to mention the price is ridiculous.elkpark likes this.

- Dec 5, '12 by FutureNurseLCWQuote from FutureNurseLCWThank you for your responses. I definitely do not want to go to a school that I can not transfer from! - Dec 6, '12 by popmode77Where in Arizona are you? Carrington college has no wait list and they are NLNAC accredited.. You also get a discount at chamberlain for your BSN and MSN if you pursue it through them. I graduated in July and started my BSN-MSN bridge program in October!
- Dec 6, '12 by FutureNurseLCWPopmode I live in Phoenix! I actually went to check carrington out and loved it! I'm scheduled to take the Hesi in two weeks! I've been studying through the Hesi book! It's so nice to hear from someone who graduated from there! Congratulations on graduating! What was the schedule like for you? The only reason I asked about ITT Tech was because they had a really flexible schedule but I'm definitely not going there. I hope Ican get into Carrington for the March start! Was it hard to find a job?Last edit by FutureNurseLCW on Dec 6, '12 : Reason: School name
- Dec 6, '12 by Mem2012I would be wary of ITT Tech in Phoenix. I have heard that they are under investigation by the state board. I am not sure how accurate my statement is, its just what I have heard.
I think there are a lot of other schools you can get into and not have to worry. - Dec 7, '12 by FutureNurseLCWThanks Mem I appreciate your comment! I definitely will not be going there! I'm going to try to get into Carrington! I have to take the Hesi A2 in two weeks! Kind if nervous even though every one says it is easy!
- Feb 6 by ashlianeeI am actually looking into both schools.. ITT, Carrington, Brookline (because I also received my phlebotomy diploma from there) and chamberlain. Both Brookline and chamberlain because of the BSN I've seen most job postings want you to at least have a BSN but I want to know that I am doing the right thing as far as going to a school that is going to lead me to my dream job... What was carrington about? As far as their scheduling that would play a big factor in my decision because I would be working as a full time phlebotomist... Any info would help !
