GCU Summer 2012 - Page 6
Register Today!- Feb 23, '12 by StoofanieDid it take a while?? I'm gonna call them on Friday since we have to pay for it and I don't get paid till Friday. :/
- Feb 23, '12 by johnnyareiI think it took about 4-6 weeks. I remember being told that it would take 8 weeks, but mine did not take that long. I had to pay $10 to get fingerprinted and $65 for the fingerprint clearance card. I'm glad it's already done! Now, I have to worry about my immunizations. I think I already have most of them out of the way because of my job.
- Feb 23, '12 by johnnyareiHave you finished NUR 207 (COM 270 through Maricopa Community College)? I am taking it right now at Mesa Community College. Also, I'm taking FON 241 through Rio Salado. I'm trying to improve my previous grade. What classes (if any) are you currently taking?
- Feb 23, '12 by StoofanieI took NUR 207 at GCU last semester. Right now I'm in Stats (the one I got a C in) and next month I start Christian world view so I can get it over with and I don't have to take it when I'm in the program. Then I have another health class. I freaked out earlier because I forgot that NUR 207 was COM 270 at the community colleges; so I was just like I HAVEN'T FINISHED! hahahaa
- Feb 23, '12 by StoofanieYeah I'm not looking forward to all the costs of the finger print stuff. There's a place in my hometown in southern arizona that does a lot of immunizations for free so if I'm missing any I'll go there when I go down next month! I don't know if there is any place like that in Phoenix. Hopefully I don't need much!!
- Feb 23, '12 by johnnyareiI know I'll have to pay for my physical. I hope I have everything else in order. I wanted to take University Success and Christian Worldview before the program started, but I pay for school on my own. I can only afford to pay for the 5 blocks (as long as I get a GPA scholarship). So, I have to take those classes within the program.
- Feb 23, '12 by StoofanieYeah I took university success too last semester! It was a ridiculous class! The papers and stuff are basic and it's not challenging. I don't have to pay for my physical (thankfully I just got my new health insurance) so the first one is covered. I'm hoping for a GPA scholarship from St. Joseph's too...how do we find out??
- Feb 23, '12 by johnnyareiI think in March or April we will have a meeting to go over finances, scholarships, etc!

- Feb 23, '12 by johnnyareiWe'll definitely see each other! Our cohort should only have 25-30 people in it!
