- May 15, '11 by nervousjerkI know NAU, but Im in chandler. I thought ASU did? You sure? Whats the requirements, considering it's competative...my highschool grades werent great, but thats because I was a jerk. Boy do i regret that. Anyhow, do you know any info for getting an edge?
- May 16, '11 by AZMOMO2Central Arizona College which is a Community College is a points based entry program. They say they do not keep a waitlist. You can look into it.
- May 16, '11 by Southern MagnoliaYour title said AZ (not Phoenix metro) so that's why I suggested NAU. I would just check Asu's web site. Typically, BSN programs don't have wait lists b/ c admission is based on gpa in prerequisites, exam scores and such - where community colleges admit anyone that has met the minimum requirements. If you haven't taken your prerequisites that will be your first step once you decide on a program. As for an edge - get the best grades you can in prerequisites.
- May 16, '11 by chanksI am in Tucson, just starting at Pima. I have some previous college credits and need 4 classes (chm, bio, both a/p) before applying for the program. I figure there are other classes to take while I wait, like Spanish. I'm counting on a lot of people losing patience with the wait. Time goes by fast.

You should check into GCU. Some of your information is incorrect. Make an appt and go talk to someone there. - May 31, '11 by azmtnbkr1Quote from AZMOMO2\Central Arizona College which is a Community College is a points based entry program. They say they do not keep a waitlist. You can look into it.
Which campus? - Jun 6, '11 by KristeyKThere's only one campus for Central Az. It's just outside of Coolidge. I have a friend who's starting her RN program there in the Fall and also said there's no waitlist. However, those who live in Pinal County are given precedence, and I don't know how competitive it is to get in.
I was one who gave up on the eternal waitlist at Pima CC and ended up going to Pima Medical Institute. I am SO GLAD I did!!! I'll be finished before I even get off the wait list at PCC. YAY!!! (And yes, it's $$$, but I LOOOOOVE the education and attention we get from our instructors vs. what the PCC students have told us.) - Jun 8, '11 by hilzaberryQuote from nervousjerk

DO NOT GO TO GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY!!! They got bought out by Apollo and screwed me over putting me in the same shoes after their program's accreditation was stripped.
