Chamberlain College of Nursing BSN Program - Page 20
Register Today!- Mar 31, '11 by KKH89Hi! Has anyone in Chamberlain's BSN program had ALL their prerequsite classes transfer over from a cc? And if so were you allowed to start the nursing cirriculum right away when you started? I know sometimes schools make you take "their version" of prereqs.
Thanks! =) - Mar 31, '11 by jsr210I had taken most of my pre-reqs already at GCC. They allowed me to transfer them. The only pre-reqs I'm taking through them are a history elective, math, a speech class, and their 'success seminar'. Otherwise I started in the 3rd semester and will be taking my first nursing class next semester. I have talked to other students though that are transferring from out of state schools and are having some trouble getting their credits transferred. You should speak with one of the advisors. They're pretty helpful.
- Apr 5, '11 by yang1021I am so happy for everyone who got in and those who had graduated or will be. I have just recently apply to CCN and hoping to get in July if its not too late. I have a question I wanted to ask those of you who are currently going to CCN if anyone knows a safe and affordable apartment that is close by the college that you would recommend. I have been doing my research but it doesn't beat actually being there and touring the places. Anything will be appreciated
I really hope to get in so I am very excited.
- Apr 9, '11 by fmac88Hi i have a question someone can possibly answer for me. I am about to start the class Nr-222 will I need to start wearing scrubs for that class? If not, when will we have to start wearing scrubs? I know people say you start wearing scrubs when clinical start. What exactly is the first class that incorporates clinicals.

You only wear scrubs during clinical days, never for class days. The only exception is if you have a clinical orientation on campus in which you must wear your scrubs. Don't worry, they will inform you all on what to do. Good luck! - Apr 13, '11 by fmac88okay thank you!! Another question if i may ask. I know how chamberlain is pretty strict saying if you don't get an average of 76 on All pre-licensure nursing courses you can't pass the class. What is considered pre-licensure courses? Is microbiology considered pre-licensure course or is it the main nursing courses that they are talking about. Ex. nur-222, nur-224 etc.
Thank you - Apr 13, '11 by MystyqueOneQuote from fmac88all classes that begin with NR require a 76% TEST average. That means that your other assignments, assuming all is done well, will actually bring your final grade up. But, you must get at least a 76% test average before your other assignments count. So, no, the microbiology course is not under the same guidelines.okay thank you!! Another question if i may ask. - Apr 26, '11 by mangoeyHi,
Wow...I am pumped up about CCN after reading the posts. I am going into turn in application and take HESI exam today. I have a BS and has taken the TEAS. I have my fingers crossed for CCN July 2011 too. Does anyone know a good apartment around there to recommend? I am planning to go look around at apartment complexes unless there's someone out there looking for a roommate. I'm neat and easygoing =D
